My latest Viola after an alto model of Andrea Guarneri, as previously of a 1670 model, a slightly sleeker outline than the Conte Vitale of 1674.
The beautiful one piece back of old Bosnian maple, ribs and head matching, the front of narrow and even grained well seasoned Alpine spruce. The transparent oil varnish a warm golden orange colour.
The string length is 372mm and the tone is even, rich and carrying, yet very responsive.
